Thermopylae

Post by kagetora »

Would anybody be interested in a map of Thermopylae (300 spartans)?

http://www.usfca.edu/classes/AuthEd/Set ... e/map.html

based on that map?

you're not giving us much to go on... looks like there's two territories and two attack routes?

I agree with Greece, but how about making the smaller map one? That way you can use the Athenian and Persian fleets.

I wanted to do the fleets, but I didn't think most people knew about them because they aren't mentioned in the movies, so thanks for letting me know it would be worthwhile!

I think it would really help get the map off the ground with the fleets in there

Just basically find a map of Greece, use Athens and Sparta as extra bonuses or something, around the island of Salamis (I think), add the fleets, and add the detachment of the Persian fleet going around to try and attack in the back.

Try this map.

that whole war would make a good map, you've got the naval battle the spartans stand, the retreat, I'd applaud any good effort concerning it

unfortunately sfh, that would take weeks if not months to finish and represent accurately what happened in the war, and I want to keep the facts straight

I know its small, but in the north there are the Persian Empire and Persian Fleet

Below that, next to the water is 300/ aka Thermopylae

Next to that in the water is the Greek fleet

The land below 300 are the Greek city-states

Units Numbers
Spartans 300
Mantineans 500
Tegeans 500
Arcadian Orchomenos 120
Other Arcadians 1,000
Corinthians 400
Phlians 200
Mycenaeans 80
Thespians 700
Thebans 400
Phocians 1,000
Opuntian Locrians 13
Total 5,213

Here is the total troop count for the greeks at the battle, troops not ships.

Why not make these some territories and colour the spartans in red and give them a +1 bonus when held?

Also why not make the battle larger to include the fleet with a small mini map zoomed in on the pass with the spartans?
