I know other people like their countries too. I've been around the world and back and I'm convinced that mine is the best

Until relatively recently, I had a lot of respect for the UK. The defiant country of Churchill which almost single handedly resisted Nazi occupation. My grandfather, who was something of a man without a nation during WW2, actually fought for the British army against the Germans.
Now it looks as though the UK is adopting some of the fascist policies which my grandfather fought to end in Germany.
This goes beyond the issue with Savage or Wilders or any one man. Nothing less than free speech is what is at stake here.
This whole situation is deeply troubling to me. The man was banned from entering the country for (supposedly) inciting violence and fomenting hatred. He was not banned by a comity but rather by one woman who was in a position of authority who didn't like him.
The man was banned from entering the UK for using his right to free speech in the United States. He hasn't broken laws from either country, AND free speech is part of the English Bill of Rights as well as that of the United States.
Basically this amounts to people with an ideology of extreme political correctness trying to silence people who disagree with them both inside and outside of their country. They are not only trying to kill free speech but free thought. The problem is much bigger than any one isolated incident.
What they are doing, banning someone for using what should be their protected right to free speech, is on the same level as banning someone based on their faith or race. This is on the same page as banning someone because they are Jewish and the idea that this could happen in the UK is deeply troubling to me.
It's a clear cut violation of basic human rights.
