well, i would say around 65/35 your way on that . maybe there would be away that if a new recruit didnt play at all then no points(the way it used to be , but for only noobs) , becase it would be same as a nuetral. But if they deploy somewhere its an unfair to who ever was trying to take that country. This would be the way to go.

but it still has gameplay changes that you are not getting maniac lol

when u start a game out do you not look to see who might be battling who over spots , and yes it can go both ways , its just you should earn points for say, overcoming the obsticals , hoops , whatever you want to call it.

anyway whatever works, just showing both ends of this

maniac what i am saying is , you deserve the points. when everyone is playing you can expect certain things but when one misses a turn, you dont know if its because he couldnt get on or is deadbeating leaving you in limbo. Ive seen it said there is no skill in beating a deadbeat. There is nothing further from the truth.

1. you dont know if the guys is coming back or not - not only do you have to defend if hes near you , because he may get two or three times the guys, but you also have to worry about they guys on the other side of him.

2.have you ever lost 10 guys taking a deadbeats country to get through. This sucks.

3.lets say the deadbeat had 10 guys on nafrica and someone owned samerica. -your screwd because you thought he would attack it.

4.i feel that a deadbeat is a deadbeat period. noob or no noob

its simply easier to play when everyone plays it out. so i feel that you deserve the extra points for putting up with it. its not like your talking about 60 points either unless you really need them at the most it would only be 20 points or way less anyways in most cases.

As for your comment Kyle, I don't see how this change would affect the partner recieving the territories.

If the new recruit isn't going to lose points for his team then his team shouldnt get his territories... simple as that.

I get the gameplay changes, I just don't think that the neutral territories are enough to warrent free points.

I've played games with several neutral territories at the start due to uneven territory distribution. Doesn't that mean I should get extra points because I've had to overcome the "obsticals" created by the neutral territories?

split up the points between everyone left in the game.

so if it's a six player game and one person gets eliminated and then one deadbeats, their points should be split up four ways, and no points for the dead.

k maniac this is my last choice of persausion here lol

like someone said , its suks waiting , you forget what you were doing in the game strategy wise - take your first turn and three weeks later your like ohh yea i forgot about this one

not to mention like i said , they game starts on a friday and the noob misses the first two turns and before you know it boom hes taking you out. it doesnt sound like much but in a no cards game if your expecting a guy to deadbeat and he gets nine , its suks

i dont know about you but i count the person as coming back untill he turns neutral, i have had it happen too many times that i counted on them deadbeating just to get screwd

to go along with what some else said too , deadbeating all togeather should get split up maybe three , points per person playing that way it evens out on the scorecard as well this will not give anyone a huge amount of points from a deadbeat and aslo punishes the deadbeat.

Yea waiting sucks, but that still isn't a reason to get free points.

As you said earlier, you should always count on the person to be coming back until he's missed all three turns. A lot of times with experienced players, the person misses a turn for some reason or another, but will most likely be taking the next turn.

You should also be ready for a new recruit to possibly come back, although most of them don't come back if they have missed two turns already. But by being ready just incase, you get rewarded for your concern with a neutral boarder. Then you can just move those troops elsewhere.

The spreading out of points has been discussed before, but it just doesn't seem worth it to spread the points out with every player getting like 4 points. Also, for new recruits that deadbeat this isn't really any sort of punishment since most of them arent coming back to the site.

How about in addition to "tell teammates only" "tell yourself" so you can post notes to yourself about your own strategy.

Definitely could use this rule now more than ever. Think of all the inflation thats happening from new recruit deadbeats in 2 player games. Now there's no way you can convince me it takes skill to watch a new recruit miss 3 turns in a row before you win. 8)

Well, lesbian who is a new recruit has already won 2 games but has just miss a turn in Round 4 after making 3 previous turns. So, if lesbian does proceed to deadbeat ...I get no points for the time and effort that I've invested to build such a lead in this game.

This is certainly not fair as I will not be able to eliminate lesbian before being kicked out for missing too many turns. I do believe in this case, I should get lesbian's points.

Therefore, I suggest no points from deadbeats if they did not make any move at all or only 1 to 2 turn(s).

I agree completely, and I believe thats what will happen. Back when the rule was in place where all players who deadbeated didn't lose points, the rule only applied if they deadbeated before taking at least two turns.

It wouldn't be fair to win zero points from a deadbeat after having them play for several turns.

I just had 2 games where everybody deadbeated...1 I got zero points..the other I had to take the last player out cus if I didn't, he would have missed his third turn and I would have gotten zip..

I think that something should be taken from the deadbeaters and given to the last man standing...because I invested all this time in the games for them to deadbeat cus they were losing....

maybe 5 points from each deadbeater to the the last man standing...or the person that wins the game...

I mean it sucks to waste a week or 2 on a game because people don't want to lose their points...they should be punished

I would assume beast is talking about deadbeats in terminator games which is another problem entirely.

The rule we're talking about here only applies to new recruits who come in and don't take any turns before deadbeating.
