I dont think it will be that bad. I think that some people will try to sit and build, because you start off which such a big bonus, but others will try to grab targets. Although you start with 20 armies to place, the targets are worth a LOT of armies! The bonuses for targets are added to the bonuses for colors, you can take out 125 neutrals easily if you hold a target.

So, I liked the idea, but I think you should balance it a bit, huh?

Another thing I didnt get, although I read mainly the first post... Does archer 3 need kill archer 4 to attack archer 5? Because if so, it wont work for assassin games.


The archers cannot attack each other, but they can attack the lobby. Once you grab the lobby (which starts with 125 neutral) then you have access to every archer, therefore eliminating the assassin problem.

So i took over graphics (althought I hope klap will finished what I start) on this and gave it a qick face lifts.

Kap from a gameplay point of view would it not be better to make the objective to hold all targets for 1 turn instead of all archers? This may people have te option of NOT breaking the lobby if they dont want to. And I think neutral value on the lobby is far to high. Maybe a 40-50 value would work out better.

The reason as to why I added that was in case someone lost their archer, but was fairly developed elsewhere. It would suck to have huge armies, but have nothing to do with them; and the game would basically be a draw. I dont really like the objective, but i thought it was needed. Do you have any other ideas that could end the stalemate position?

I didnt put too much thought into bonuses and neutrals, so im fine with any changes to those. The only reason as to why i had it so high was because i didnt want people to take it unless they had to. I personally think 40-50 is a little low, but i think 100 would be fine. I dont want people to come back from behind with an easy win with the objective, but really id change it to anything with enough persuasion!

nice work on the look, gimil. Can one of the smileys have a pirate patch? And wasn't there a fuzzy white bunny hopping across at one point?

I hear gimil's concern about the objective... once the wall is broken, the targets will be completed ignored because they no longer become strategic, except to pick up cards. That means that 75% of the playable spaces on this map become essentially meaningless, and every game will be a 'build-up and wait' game.

But if someones loses there archer there stuck anyway doesnt matter about the objective. All your current objective does is force people to break the wall to win which opens up the likelyness of stupid play. Making the targets an objective instead of all archers means that the player has a choice on what direction to take.

On the bonuses im not to keen on 17 for an archee unless its autodeploy. Imagine a doubles game. you deply you default bonus and archer reinforcments on one player.

3 start
6 default reinforcemnts
34 archers

thats 43 on one terr. you hit the hardest target on the board first time and get the hugh bonus. Freestyle abuse all over it.

I agree with gimil on all fronts. lets say there is no objective, once you take the archers you've won anyway (though maybe it's a good idea to keep this as an objective to not delay the inevitable or prevent players from abuse like not ending the game).


I'm not totally fond of the gameplay on the map, but it seems like an autodeploy is a good idea.

Maybe make holding any one target an objective instead of holding all of them.


I'd say it'd be impossible to hold all the targets unless the army amounts become ridiculously huge. 17 armies per archer per turn. Holding ONE target is nearly impossible. Holding one territory might be tough.

1 target can still be nabbed in a freestyle game easily. Im gonig to bed but Il put some thought into te objective.

Okay, autodeploy sounds good.

About the objective, i owuld be fine with getting rid of it, its just im just worried about some scenarios....But thinking of it now, you would have to be pretty stupid to not protect your archer if you see someone can attacck the lobby. Maybe just throw out the objective alltogther.

The way the archers are put right now, it looks like 1 can attack 2, 2 can attack 1 and 3, 3 can attack 2 and 4. I know that's not the case, so any chance of clearing that up?

Well in the notes its says "archers can attack any target and lobby" but maybe it should say "Archers cannot attack each other" also.
