medals.phpThe unique defeats is coloured bronze, silver and gold according to the rules in the above link for standard, assassin etc.
The 5 defeats is for cross-map and since all of these numbers are specifically not cross-map they will follow the rules
of Bronze=20, Silver=100, Gold=400 and be coloured accordingly.
But... if it is compiling the unique defeats PER MAP, then yes, it is only pertinent to the cross map medal until you do a totals box at the bottom. You need 5 unique defeats on 20 different maps to earn the bronze medal. So, wouldn't it make more sense to put the numbers as bronze for every map with 5+ unique defeats when you have 20 maps, and keep them that way until you have 40 maps, and then make them all silver, and so on down the line?
The only number you are currently compiling that is NOT cross-map related is the totals which you still have to do. THAT is the one that should follow 20-100-400.
Well, that's not what I'm calculating at the moment. As you've already noticed I count a unique defeat against player X on Classic (unique for Classic) as well as a unique defeat against player X on Feudal. So if I just total these, then I don't have a unique count whatsoever.
I was planning to count the totals, do a completely separate count of uniqueness across all maps and then apply the cross-map criteria..
However it looks like I have got it back to front since what you have just outlined
does make more sense and I am now question the Cross-map medal. A standard medal IS cross map anyway as is assassin etc which explains the high numbers.
Let me think, you have some excellent points to consider.
