I sorta have to agree with JR here. I liked wicked, but these last few weeks have been nothing more than utter chaos. Wicked should have taken a break and all would have been fine. Well maybe not fine, but soo much less.

i agree...

I don't know the ins and outs of the situation with wicked, but irrespective of whether or not it goes on all the time, that does not necessarily make it right.

Well, well, well... more drama. It's like a bad divorce.

There are basically two ways to avoid the bad divorce.

1. Communication

2. Pay off the other side.

When you have nothing to lose, #1 is a good choice. When your business is in jeopardy, I advice #2... for next time.

I think we need to question why there is even a need for rule #1.

If you think you need rule #1, and you don't have the means to enforce rule #1, then something is wrong.

You can either sink further resources into the pit of enforcement...

of you can legalize it.

And, of course, a necessary part of a legalization program is to change the environment of use.

Here's how:

1. Restrict freemium to 1 game. (Makes it logistically a nightmare to farm points). Maybe give them 4 concurrent games on day of sign up, and after those finish, rachet down to 1.
2. Add a deletion/lock of dormant freemium accounts (Address the obvious issues posed by change 1 above)
3. Limit freemium to 1 post per day (Make multi-trolling less of a profitable business)
4. Limit the number of points that can be won from any single player. (Again, preclude point farming).
5. Do not accept registrations with "junk" email addresses (i.e., the usual suspects - yahoo, gmail, etc. w/out a credit card verification).

Do these things, and you'll fix this site without having to lock 'er down like some iron fist ruler.

And get some people with business experience there to help you figure this stuff out...

sadly wicked has turned as she feels betrayed.

it is most likely that she has taken the attitude, sod it - they dont appreciate me and therefore i will show them what it 'would be like' if i dont spend half my life on 'patrol'.

All she has actually done by stirring a bit is bought the chaos that faced us in a month or so that much closer.

Cast creations on multis.

Vast amounts of trolling etc etc.

Yes i am in the Wicked camp.

In my view, she has worked herself to the bone trying to make this site as 'right as possible' in HER vision of it. For that she has clearly trodden on toes and when the axe has fallen the person with the ultimate 'power' has dropped against her.

Now all she has been trying to do is - in a wierd way - prove her value.

Important lesson to learn here - - (that i am actually learning IRL myslef at this time) - if you work for a small business the bosses word is law. Weither the boss is right or wrong - - he/she is the one that can just say - - piss off - your history.

Once you walk that fine line where you are becoming enough of a pain in the ass the said owner - then no matter how good you are - you are probably not worth the stress - boss man - pecieves he is getting.

As my employer said to me the other day - you can win or lose arguments inside the business - - you cannot win an argument if your OUTSIDE the business.

End of!

lackattack wrote:Since wicked "stepped down" last Thursday she has actively been encouraging and enabling the creation of the multiple accounts that have trolled the forums and live chat over the last week. Neither reasoning nor warning has shown any sign of convicing her to move on and enjoy Conquer Club.

Wicked has now been caught red-handed spreading secret information about how to bypass some of our security methods regarding multiple accounts. Not only is this a glaring breach of an agreement which she has signed, it is evidence that she is out to damage Conquer Club itself and not just hurt those individuals she has grievances with. If our Rule #1 enforcement techniques become common knowledge, there will be much more cheating and it will seriously hurt everyone's enjoyment of this game.

To protect Conquer Club and your gaming experience I have taken swift action: I banned her account and instructed her to back off immediately or face legal consequences.

What a shame it had to come to this.

Mate, to be frank - i think you are one of her 'bad mood' victims - i was disgusted to see that she had put a ban on you. I am not saying i support ALL her actions. i am saying i saw her being more active and seemingly caring more for the site than any other CC 'team' member.

However - this revolution you speak of - i hardly saw - so i guess i may have missed some of the fall out. - however - its all because she was spurned.

i would hardly call it a revolution lol.......Just quite a few people stuck up for her when she was dismissed! I think they pitied her coz she was "sick".

lack was always gonna dismiss her from the site, espically since she didnt take her sacking lying down! viva The Untouchables!!!
