Then how do you explain him locking the thread?
Moderator: Community Team

Lets see, where to begin---Consistency. This is something we are actively working on behind the scenes. For the longest time, much of what was learned by Moderators on Team CC was simply catalogued and put into our Noggins, and there was little official writing down, only in the form of a couple of discussion topics. Over time, however, we've written up the Community Guidelines (multiple times), and we are currently writing up specific guidelines for our Team CC members behind the scenes as we speak (that's what I'd like to be doing right now!) These specific guidelines will help all Team CC members know how to deal with a situation, how to enforce a punishment that is based on past disciplinary history of a user or group of users, and these guidelines will just help increase overall consistency. So in the next couple of weeks, we should see an increase in consistency in service.
As always, sometimes the biggest thing everyone has to remember is Common Sense---Team CC members included. We know everyone is here to have fun, escape from the world, be themselves or whoever they want to be---etc.
I'm fine with discussing the actions of moderation with the users on Conquer Club---however, when if it devolves into Flaming, Trolling, Being intentionally annoying, it makes it much more difficult for there to be a real discussion----Take the Bigotry on CC topic for example. Had that devolved into the above mentioned collection of posts, we would've gotten nowhere. However, we stuck to our guns and remained on topic with level heads---and look, we actually worked together and everyone prevailed.
So lets work together.

We will start getting some new Mods on Team CC---from the Nominations we had a while ago---so I think this help with the overall feel of the Team. I know many members feel like it's the same old stagnant set of Team Members who are stuck in their way, so I think new members will help alleviate that feeling. In addition to some Team Members switching posts around, it should definitely help for the future. Stayed tuned for all this in the next day or two.

But you see, this is all stuff that doesn't really matter to the discussion we're having. Please stop going off topic. The issues are a specific thread, why it was repeatedly locked, and how this form of "unwritten rules" and uneven moderation has become commonplace. I'm sure everybody would be happy with the current staff if they would just moderate within the guidelines that you've set up. That, and everybody receives the same, fair treatment, and a person isn't singled out for excessive censorship simply because they might have a history.

This conversation seems to fit just under that. JP gave you the reasons he saw the topic was probably locked, but you didn't like those reasons. So, he gave you more reasons and you attacked him for saying something other than his original reason for it being locked. Quit playing games and pretending to be the victim. Guess what, Andy agrees with it or he would have unlocked it by now. If you look at that quote from the Community Guidelines it looks like you may just want to find somewhere else to play.Don't flog a dead horse. If a discussion is over, it's over. Screaming louder, more or in a different place is not going to change the answer already given. If you think the answer was wrong, PM an Admin. If you think the admin is wrong, then this probably isn't the right community for you.

Especially when the guidelines specifically say that such things are okay:# Banter and some trash talking IS allowed in the Game Chats, so don't waste time complaining about that.
# You may not be used to hearing or reading those "four-letter words", but some people do and will use them. This isn't a reason to open a complaint about the player; just kindly ask them to stop or ignore them.
I would think you guys would appreciate us playing with like minded people, as apposed to just doing it an any game we see fit.
And finally a half decent answer...jpcloet wrote:The candidate will be required to to make constant and lively contributions to the game-chat (which is likely to be vulgar and offensive). Promoting offensive comments
Isn't against the rules! YAY!jpcloet wrote:Being notorious in some way, having a talent for flaming (or generally being rude to) other users, and having earned one or more forum-ban, would be a strong advantage. Promoting bad behavior
Not promoting, promoting would be saying "If you go do these bad deeds you'll get in!" This is simply stating the recommendations, things you should already have. Besides, most of the mods fit the criteria of "being generally rude to other users", guess you better ban them.jpcloet wrote:Enjoying abusing the pointless ratings system Ratings abuse is a punishable CC offense.
You might wish to put that on the rules page then.
jpcloet wrote:Face it Owen, the thread post was inappropriate and I would easily class it under the "Intentionally Annoying". While you may think you are being clever, only a few see it that way. If that thread was in callouts, it would have been locked immediately, and I would have asked DM to reword his post in an appropriate way. Standing up for a clan mate is honorable, but I'm not sure why you think this fight is worth fighting over. Leave it alone and move on.

It's very apparent that it's the Moderators and other administrators who are, "flaming, baiting and spamming." You can also throw in a couple of threats and innuedoes of some type of severe retributions.
The Moderators have gone way overboard in this discussion. I think some of us hear the shut up or else warnings, over and over again.
The Fuckhead thread, clearly didn't break any guidelines. BUT, the Moderators are rounding their wagons and sticking to their story.
Boys and girls, we can't win this argument, C.C. administrators are bent on exterminating any REAL discussion on this subject. Prepare yourself for warnings, small vacations and permi-bans.

Also, I'd like to join future fuckhead games. Andy, is it okay if in the future games are posted in callouts for fuckhead games? Otherwise how will I know when they are on? Or are fuckhead games against the rules of the site? Or is it decriminalised - you can have the games, but don't try to encourage others to play - personal use only.
