Welcome to the NBA playoffs 2010….
• Teams: 3 CC players per NBA team...sign up as a trio or take your chances signing up as a single and hope for teammates to find you. However, priority will be given to already formed trios.
• Open to freebies (just keep two slots open)…
• Play style: 1 vs. 1
The tournament will follow the NBA playoffs with a best-of-7 format for each round of the playoffs…win four games and advance, lose and your team is out.
Each game will be broken into 9 maps (five representing the starters and four for the bench players). Each player will earn points based on a well-tested scoring formula I’ve conceived. If you played my recent March Madness tourney, the scoring is similar to that.
Win quickly to connect on a higher percentage of your shots and to shut down your opponent (see shooting chart below). Percentages drop sharply as the rounds advance and play is capped at 12 rounds to prevent running up the score. This also rewards a losing player for fighting hard rather than simply giving up. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd27 ... hotpct.png
Also, starters are weighted to put up more shots than bench players, so like in a real game, the starting five will have a greater influence on the scoring. Finally, each team will designate one of its starting five spots to be the “star” player, who will be allowed to put up more shots in a typical game.
Because I’m using a carefully developed scoring formula all maps are preset for each position. Smaller maps are used for the bench players. Settings will be flat rate spoils and chained forts (see box). Starters will play with fog…bench players will be sunny.
• Maps for starters/bench players (each CC player will fill three of these spots)http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd27 ... itions.png
When signing up be sure to tell me who is playing in what positions....or reserve your team and get back to me before sign-ups are finished.

The winner of the championship showdown at the end is of course the winner of this Conquer Club tourney.
I’ll be trying to update scoreboards at least every 48 hours, so you’ll have a good idea where you stand as each round goes. In the rare case that overtime is needed...format will be a triples showdown on the North America map.
Good luck to all and let’s have some fun with it, flex
Any questions, please post in the forum so they can be answered for everyone.
