I rather like the CC style you have going now. I've deleted the old poll, so you can create a new one to see what the general consenus is.

Hm, the numbers and letters on the side seem a little...small and...hard to read slightly. Perhaps you could play with the size slightly...maybe even boldness and color, I'm not sure.

Also, maybe add a tint of gray (very light) to the Bonus Guide, the white almost seems too striking for my eyes, but maybe that is just me!

Lastly, if you can...try fitting the CC star in there...perhaps on either side of the phrase 'Bonus Guide'.

ok i read through page 6 and got bored :P so if someone has already said this correct me-
but it seems that if you code all of the possibilities, if a person gets a 4x5 rectangle they will get a +40 bonus. thats insane...and you said as much at the bottom of the legend.

but it seems impossible not to have that occur. if you promise a +2 bonus for every possible 4 in a row, then the coding is going to have to include all of the possibilities. and unless there are a multitude of "if __ bonus then not ___ bonus," like, 2 conditionals for every single possible line of 4, then the bonus will automatically be granted.

i hope this makes sense. im saying it from my understanding of xml code, and a fellow mathematically oriented mind. correct me if im wrong- i hope i am. id love to play this map.

Did you read the part about a +2 bonus for each 4 in a row, a -2 for each 5 in a row and a +2 for each 7 in a row? That simplifies everything so that each unique 4 in a row produces a single bonus (ie 5 in a row doesn't count as two)

And I believe the XML is finished.

Correct... XML is done - Twas V easy... Sully you were a god send for that - I would've probably worked it out in the fullness of time... but you'd done it for me so I just had to code it... which was easy...

The only thing that will be a bit nasty will be the logs for getting bonuses... You will get a lot of logs if you have a lot of bonuses... This is similar to USArmageddon & World 2.

the 60,4 is right but then you have a 39,6 (100 - 60,4 = 39,6) so i suggest yours issn't right becuase if you lower the 60,4 to 60,3 you have 39,7...

That's ok, you don't have to play it.

There seems to be enough support for it to continue.

I mean, would it be like "attack from left 3 bottom 6 to left 4 bottom 6"? I didnt see the answer on that page.

Sorry, that was in response to qwerts question about the bonuses.

Attacks will only take place on adjacent spaces, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally. I'll make this known on the next update.

I did.

I asked for it to be removed since there was sufficient support to continue development of the map. I'll be putting up a new poll with the next update. 8)

I think we are seeing some Chinese Checkers problems over here. Stop bringing up the same issues after they have already been resolved. Maybe we could make a list of resolved issues to tack on to each update?

DiM !!!!! Hate is a strong word, dont you think? It just seems a very confusing map and maybe keyogi's talents are served better in a more visual and not so confusing map....Because he is a good map maker.

I like different Maps like king of the hills etc... But i fear after playin this map twice its appeal will be lost. Just my opinon and alot more people in this thread seem to agree with that opinon judging by the feedback left!!

The 'two bonuses can only share a single space' is confusing though...if you have the +20 do you also get the +14?

I think it's pretty straightforward. If you have four in a row you get +2 for each combo. You would only get the +20.

Guiscard wrote:
Would it not be simpler (and more in keeping with the game) to just give a +1 or +2 for every complete row of four you hold in any direction, but spaces can't overlap as a bonus. For example if you held the +20 example you would get +8, if you held the +10 example you would get +6, any of the +4 examples would get you +2 (as they can't overlap).

You're right, but lets see what everyone else has to say about it.

I dont understand what people discussed. of these bonuses, I Think that these huge bonuses its pointles.

There seems to be enough support for it to continue.

You dont want to put vote pool, to people give hes vote for support , but when i want to create map, then i must to do these, its not fair

ok, maybe not hate hate but dislike. is this ok?
the idea is still the same, a map will alway hate it's supporters and it's contesters. but if there are enough people that support the idea the map should be done even if some people will never play it.

This argument is immaterial - I shortened the figures down there were numbers after the .4 & .5 that I didn't print that make it add to 100!!
