But the standard lover mechanic means that lovers can talk at night anyways. The mason claim is redundant.

Now i would vote for holding off with jonty being lynched this day at least and let him die another day.

Not necessarily. Tarantino Mafia I put straight goon/VT lover mechanics. And neither jonty nor sound has claimed any other powers.

As far I'm aware we're both VT's but sound will have to say for himself whether he is VT or not.

People don't listen to you, really? You beleive Jonty is scum, Jonty is at l-1. What else you want to have? A speedlynch?

I also want Jonty hang for his role+the cop vote slip. However, if there is any other discussion that may come out, lewt it come out. Edoc has not announced a deadline yet, so why rush it? To satisfy your blood hunger?

For one, I am still slightly bit scarred of Everywhere's many ""claims?'' here. Either it's a coincidence, or my mind is set on him for a reason I don't know off, but he's always the first one to ask for a claim on most cases we had so far.

So if we're going to do a mistake here, at least don't let anyone off the ''hook'' ( not saying there's one since there's barely anyone on the hook....) by speedlynching someone.

Can we get a prod on MeDeFe? Also where did Tails go? After his initial post against Jonty he hasn't posted once.

Day starts in Hectic in about 6 hours, so he should be here to kick that off, barring extenuating circumstances.

@everywhere: considering the context, the "Claim?" comment did seem a bit open ended.

Read: SW tactic of agreeing with a case but not really talking about it.

It's a tactic?

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad thing, just a meta I've always kinda noticed about you. It seems the early stages of cases you won't say much, just that "this case has good points, bad points," without going into specifics, like you're digesting the info plus anything that others will add. I do the same really, but I don't post these initial posts like you, hence I usually may seem less active and have a smaller post count. So really that was just a note to myself, I guess.

everywhere wrote:Lovers kill themselves after their partner dies, masons don't, but they both have the ability to talk to one another, so there's no reason to combine the roles. I think he just added the "mason" part so that we wouldn't suspect that he could be a mafia lover.

That's up for interpretation. In my experience w/ Lovers or Siblings, they CAN'T communicate at night. I'd have to look back for reference to anything Edoku has done regarding Lovers. Additionally, in my experience, Lovers sometimes occupy different factions, whilst Siblings are part of the same faction. Again, these are all details that are up to the mod, though. So you could be right or wrong with that.

With a small game like this, I think it's most likely that jonty is scum. I would be a huge handicap to town if they were both town because then mafia would get an easy twofer, which is devastating in a game this size. So at this point, as everywhere said (iirc) are we willing to lose a townie for this? I think we bought some extra room by foiling the maf's kill last night, so I guess I'm up for it, much as I'd hate sacrificing soundman.

Hi! I think I'm mostly caught up now: jonty claims Lover, soundman confirms. Jonty appears to be scum by the Wikipedia entry... I dunno, I'm not fully convinced. I suppose the meta makes sense, given we likely have a third party or two we're dealing with as well, but I suppose there's risk involved in any lynch we make. I'm tempted to hammer, as we don't have much else. If they both flip town, I'd be interested in pursuing a case on strike wolf, as I thought his putting jonty at L-1 so quickly with a weak "I hope I'm right" seems shaky to me, especially since it was not long after soundman claimed Izanagi:
strike wolf wrote:Well I hope I'm right because I have every reason to believe that your claim is real Sound...I have every reason to doubt Jonty's alliance.

Well, in Egypt town had 2 one-shot killing roles and I think the game had less players than this, so lovers aren't out of the question?

True, but if I may Meta a bit more, these games usually have some mechanics that change. Last game was the SK/Mafia traitor, so I wouldn't put it past edoc to put in a mafia/town lover mechanic this game.

Very true. But here's a plus side if Jonty is scum, I'm practically invincible! :D Mafia won't kill me because they wouldn't want to lose a member with me.

I keep popping my head in to say something but I keep running a blank.

As far as people questioning my "I hope I'm right" answer. I think I have a right to be a bit worried about potentially lynching two townies based as much on flavor speculation as anything else. I went with it because reading the description for Izanami I couldn't see how that role could be town aligned.
