as a retired farmer myself all this does is make it slightly harder. It can still be done you just have to start games slowly instead of all at once like in the past.
There are much better ways to deal with farming that dont require killing the ability of players to play the games they enjoy.
and what they like to play ends up on the first page because hardly anyone else wants to play those games.

then they get filled by n00bs who get absolutely destroyed & get the wrong impression of this site.
us old timers know how to use Game Finder. if we want to play them, we'll find them.
what is the harm to the site if i set up 50 lux/doodle assassin games? How quickly do you think those fill now vs the previous join a game page?
Sure you make it a little harder to farm, but people dont realize how much of a negative impact this has on non complicated game types. How easy is it going to be to get an 8 man classic game started especially if you set them up in bunches?
How many farmers do you think there are at any given time on this site? Take a look at the farmers and the quantity of them vs the quantity of people just trying to get their game of choice started that you have negatively effected.
the harm is you start 50 games that are only filling with players new to the site who then leave after their experience with you. those games are killing CC by driving away customers.
if you want to play that map/settings, create 1. when it fills, create another.
What map do you think is better for new players than doodle or lux?
The games i am talking about a literally a crapsoot that people would likely be playing for medals, but they will never fill now.
Sure you stop the farmers games from going to the front page, but you also make it that your paying customers dont get their games to fill. When they start to leave because they cant play their favorite game what happens?
We must always remember that people have the right to choose which games they join or dont join. Catering to the cooks and corporals is all fine and dandy...but they don't pay the bills. The players who buy premium every year and create the games they enjoy playing do on the other hand and are the reason this site is profitable.
The site could do a lot more to help new players than changing the order the games sort on join a game page. For example making them only play on basic maps for their first 5-10 games. Allowing them to play more speed games so that they get hooked and become paying members. You could even encourage friendly and helpful members to play vs the new members so they have a positive experience in their first few games.
Its funny that you act like you know so much about farming when you know very little. I have been the farmer, and trust me i can think of ways to outsmart this system and get newer players to join my farming games if i wanted to. For example: 1 vs 1 city mogul casual freestyle and just foe any player who is decent. I could have a field day making points with that because games will finish fast and as soon as i want to add another one i create the game give it 5 mins drop the game and create it again. Hence you have done nothing to stop farming but just change the way farming is done. Do all the negatives really not outweigh the fact that you have done nothing to eliminate the ability to farm?
