Casting leaks for GoT season 5.
They are looking for actors to play several new characters that will be appearing in season 5 of GoT. These characters are-
Prince Doran Martell. If we recall from earlier Tywin remarked that Doran has the gout. He is Oberyn's brother, BTW.
Trystane Martell who is the young son of Doran and is about the same age as Myrcella Lannister. They'll likely get along like two peas in a pod.
Aero Hotah who is the captain of Doran's guard.
Three of the Sand Snakes- Obara, Nymeria and Tyene. According to the "winter is coming" website, Obara will have a major fight scene with a series regular.
Now Obara, though a woman, considers herself a warrior and she's pretty good at fighting. She wields a spear, whip and shield made of steel and copper. She's quick tempered, strong and is probably the most dangerous of the Sand Snakes. The Sand Snakes are all bastard children of Prince Oberyn.
So, what series regular will you all want to see Obara fighting?
BTW, this fight, with whomever it is, will be against someone Obara never met in the books, so this will all be new territory for books readers.
But the Sand Snakes are infamous in Westeros. Obara is the oldest and is the warrior Sand Snake. Tyene is a master of poisons and herbcraft. Nymeria more of a "lady" than the rest of the Sand Snakes. And all the Sand Snakes are female. Hopefully the characters will be as cool in the TV series as they are in the books.
The High Sparrow. He is the new High Septum. If we recall, the old High Septum was murdered during the riot in King's Landing after Jeoffry was hit in the head by someone tossing horse shit at him and punk Jeoffry ordered- "Kill them! Kill them all!" That was also when The Hound gutted a bunch of rioters who were about to rape (and probably murder) Sansa. Oh, and Tyrian slapped Jeoffry like he'd slap an petulant bitch. Hahaha! Classic. "Yes! I slapped you. Did my hand fall off? <slap> There, I slapped you again!"
Book readers will know the significance of the High Sparrow.
Maybe the most surprising casting is for Maggy the Frog. I wrote earlier ITT about Maggy the Frog who is the one who gave Cersi the prophecy that Cersi so fears coming true. Maggy is to appear in a single episode in Season 5, likely a flashback I'd think. She is a crucial part of Cersi's storyline and it will be nice for the TV watchers to finally get a glimpse of exactly why.
And Bronn's wife, Lady Stokeworth. In the books she is morbidly obese and very dumb.
Yes, season 5 of GoT is shaping up to be pretty interesting.
There are a couple of other new characters, but the above are the most interesting and there may yet be even more characters coming down the pipe.
