No, I didn't see oberyn comming, neither the mountain! which is pretty stupid, given that the mountain has been out of the show pretty much... the entire show, we've barely seen him, we mostly hear people talk about him all the time. And ok, I'm not crazy, this wasn't at all the actor playing the mountain earlier. Oh my, this actor is absolutely impressive physically, what a beast!

Actually, he's not really an actor, this is his very first acting gig, he's an Icelandic professional strongman competitor, so don't expect too many speaking lines from this guy, lol. Unlike bodybuilders, strongman competitors are stronger than they look so this guy is really fucking strong. His name is Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, he's 6'8,5 tall and weigh over 400 pounds. He finished as the runner up in the 2014 World Strongest Man competiton, so he's officially the second strongest man in the world right now.

"Too important of a character"....wait wait. We are talking about Game of Thrones right?

Well I mean the death just seemed out of place for her character. Like all of the previous dead Starks died in the second to last episode (as opposed to this last one which was the fourth to last). Idk, I just knew she was safe.

And by the way, why is there a two week wait for the next episode?

ah, don't give me the feet/pounds speach, i have no fucking clue what you're talking about now and you're european too, why even go that road.. too lazy to translate in rational metric system lol.

i've seen some of those on eurosport ages ago, it's just hilarious to see what these guys cary around.
Hum, and yeah cool. That should mean that the montain should get destroyed by oberyn if they chose just a mustle guy (gilli, just by being on screen for about a minute he is an actor now!! :D I needed to say I was talking about the actor and not the character.)

I like the concept of car racing for the world's strongest man competition:

crap didn't know about the 2 weeks wait. They do it every season if I remember well. And yeah, no chance sansa would've died there.

Just saw a preview of episode 8. looks like sansa will be a pain in the ass to petyr and ask for justice concerning her aunt. Bitch. Hope Petyr ditches you through his moon-hole.

I'm sorry about that, it was a reflex, there are so many yankees, canucks and brits on this site that I've long since forgotten that anyone else use the metric system on here. I kinda like that you didn't understand what I was saying though, now you have to look it up yourself if you want to find out hehe.

I just looked up Sophie Turner's age (the actress who plays Sansa) and she turned eighteen in February, so most likely that kiss we saw between her and Littlefinger was when she was seventeen, needless to say I'd like to give Aidan Gillen a high five for that. Not bad for a 46 year old ;).

Apparently Maisy is seventeen, but she looks like she's eleven or something, I can't believe she's just one year younger than Sophie, and before you ask, no, I'm not the slightest interested in Maisy because she is quite simply not very good looking. Sophie on the other hand.... =P~

wow I thought she was older, honestly. I was also really surprised when I found out Arya is ~18 in real life too.

Looks like we're going to be seeing some Sansa titties next season

sansa isn't even close to being hot. or sophie, the actress if you prefer. And I don't think it's because of the age. I'm sure I can name you 20 GOT female characters incarnated by hotter actresses.

Oh man, I'd love that! But unfortunately in the book Sansa doesn't get herself into whory situations so I'm not expecting it.

Tyrion could totally kill The Mountain. He could just stand between his legs, where he's too close for the great sword, slashing arteries and the Mountain would never be able to reach low enough to catch him.

What is that saying again? "The taste is like the butt, different." That's most likely just a swedish only saying though. What I'm trying to say is we all have different preferences, some like Brienne, some like Cersei etc. Okay let's play a game here, if you got the chance to get it on with 3 female characters in GOT (a la Tyrion in the whorehouse style) who'd you pick?
I'd pick Roxanne McKee (played a maid/whore for Daenerys until she betrayed her), Charlotte Hope (plays Ramsay Snow's love interest, rarely seen but a real hotty, don't think the character is even in the books.) and Sophie Turner. If I were to only choose from main characters I'd go with Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke and Natalie Dormer.

Emilia Clarke, Nathalie Emmanuel (Danaerys' assistant) and Ramsey's girl too.

The problem with Natalie Dormer is that while she's really hot in the show, she looks kind of meh just in images on the internet. She can be very hit and miss.

I'm pretty sure some of your dislike for her looks has got to do with the character she's playing, I'm just going to throw out a wild guess that you don't digg the character Sansa Stark very much, and that it makes you dislike the actress who portray her as well.

If she can look good in an extreme close up, she can't be that horrible at least, try zooming in like this on whoever it is that plays Theon's sister.

The actress that plays Missandei. She is so hot. I'm glad they made her older in the series (in the books she's like, 12, I think).

Next up would be Shae.

I was thinking either Bronn or Jaime the entire time but once I remembered that Oberyn wanted to kill the Mountain I was like "oh shit, it makes so much sense now". I have to say that I've enjoyed the addition of his character. Actor plays him well. Obviously Cersei and Tywin are going to shit their pants when they find out but Oberyn wants pretty much all the Lannisters dead so it doesn't really matter. I wonder if the Martells are going to ally with Stannis eventually.

Littlefinger pushing Lysa down was pretty predictable once Lysa invited Sansa over to it so I was slightly disappointed. I knew Sansa was completely safe because she's too important of a character to die mid-season like that (not to mention that her character became a lot more important with Robb and Catelyn dying) and then once Littlefinger appeared in the scene I knew without a doubt what was going to happen. Not sure it would matter anyhow, they (knights of the Vale) understand her as a freak...Good riddance. I am sure Littlefinger has many friends in the kingdom of the Vale.

Technically Robert "Sweetrobin" Arryn, her son is Lord of the Vale. However since Sweetrobin is too young and immature to rule Petyr will act as lord regent until he is of age. As far as what happened to Lysa, obviously Petyr is going to have to come up with some cover story.

littlefinger not only must have a great cover story but he also probably has anticipated on some great way to use politically lysa's death cause he'll always be the man with a plan.
Sansa is about to take a shit on his plans though, from what I saw on the episode 8 preview.

Casting leaks for GoT season 5.

They are looking for actors to play several new characters that will be appearing in season 5 of GoT. These characters are-

Prince Doran Martell. If we recall from earlier Tywin remarked that Doran has the gout. He is Oberyn's brother, BTW.

Trystane Martell who is the young son of Doran and is about the same age as Myrcella Lannister. They'll likely get along like two peas in a pod.

Aero Hotah who is the captain of Doran's guard.

Three of the Sand Snakes- Obara, Nymeria and Tyene. According to the "winter is coming" website, Obara will have a major fight scene with a series regular.
Now Obara, though a woman, considers herself a warrior and she's pretty good at fighting. She wields a spear, whip and shield made of steel and copper. She's quick tempered, strong and is probably the most dangerous of the Sand Snakes. The Sand Snakes are all bastard children of Prince Oberyn.
So, what series regular will you all want to see Obara fighting?
BTW, this fight, with whomever it is, will be against someone Obara never met in the books, so this will all be new territory for books readers.
But the Sand Snakes are infamous in Westeros. Obara is the oldest and is the warrior Sand Snake. Tyene is a master of poisons and herbcraft. Nymeria more of a "lady" than the rest of the Sand Snakes. And all the Sand Snakes are female. Hopefully the characters will be as cool in the TV series as they are in the books.

The High Sparrow. He is the new High Septum. If we recall, the old High Septum was murdered during the riot in King's Landing after Jeoffry was hit in the head by someone tossing horse shit at him and punk Jeoffry ordered- "Kill them! Kill them all!" That was also when The Hound gutted a bunch of rioters who were about to rape (and probably murder) Sansa. Oh, and Tyrian slapped Jeoffry like he'd slap an petulant bitch. Hahaha! Classic. "Yes! I slapped you. Did my hand fall off? <slap> There, I slapped you again!"
Book readers will know the significance of the High Sparrow.

Maybe the most surprising casting is for Maggy the Frog. I wrote earlier ITT about Maggy the Frog who is the one who gave Cersi the prophecy that Cersi so fears coming true. Maggy is to appear in a single episode in Season 5, likely a flashback I'd think. She is a crucial part of Cersi's storyline and it will be nice for the TV watchers to finally get a glimpse of exactly why.

And Bronn's wife, Lady Stokeworth. In the books she is morbidly obese and very dumb.

Yes, season 5 of GoT is shaping up to be pretty interesting.

There are a couple of other new characters, but the above are the most interesting and there may yet be even more characters coming down the pipe.
