Germany looked stronger than anyone in the first game. Hope Chile can beat Holland so we can see Holland vs Brazil. Colombia vs Uruguay is looking likely for the last 16 which will be a cracker.

Watching the game on UniVision en Español.
sounds like...
Bla bla bla, blaa bla bla bla Rooney.
Bla blaa bla bla Rooney bla bla bla.
Rooney bla bla bla blaa bla bla bla,
e blaa blaa bla bla bla Rooney.

Did the English goal keeper duck facing that second goal?

i think that the funniest country ever after winning the world cup would be japan. my gosh these guys are nuts! They would all dress up in the most unprobable stuff and would do the craziest stuff. I'm rooting for them on this match.

Germany always appear as a super power in their first game.. Their second game is usually not as good. sometimes they suck and there are many examples, so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't play well!

Yeah, that's why they keep winning their group world cup after world cup. They'll make it to the semis, after that anything can happen.

Also Japan and Greece couldn't score in a Thai brothel... what the hell is this crap. Should have gone to bed.

Lol, I always set up the recording of the matches the previous night, last night I selected the first of the day, the second, and then... after seeing it was Japan vs Greece.. I decided to skip it lol. Let's not waste electricity.

I want Japan to bow out now. Before, I wanted them to advance. But after this display, they just need to leave.

I think only both of us give a shit anyway! but yeah, I could hear more or less what he was saying, but was hard as there was this dumb voice over translation, but I thought I heard "recibieron", and the translator's story made sense; as they obviously must have pissed of the local press losing 3-1 vs costa rica in their opening game.

well I did enjoy the game cause I won again a good bet! after the red card on the greek in the first half, at the 60th minute the draw was at 2.55; so I remembered how the greeks know how to defend sparta style when they are one man down. God damn euro 2004!

I did the same with the Iran Nigeria game, missed Japans first match so wanted see them at least once... to be fair though there hasn't been many poor games. Russia vs Algeria will be another one to miss, good stuff it's on at the same time as Korea vs Belgium. Also why the hell is Korea vs Algeria the middle game on Sunday? Stick it on last so they can actually get up an watch the thing... or first and they can stay up.

Italy 0 - 1 Costa Rica half time

We've seen a few surprises, but Costa Rica winning would be outstanding. Suspense is hanging in the air in this game.

Very good World Cup so far!

it would be a nice surprise to see costa rica go through, even if that would mean england going home.

to be honest i hate that teams like japan, greece, ivory coast, nigeria, usa, russia or south korea might qualify, but teams like england, italy or uruguay might go home.

Teams that get eliminated in group stage, should have to play a massive Battle Royale match, where all the teams are on the field at once, and then like pinball multiball, there are tons of balls.

I'd just like to see some underdog go far in the cup.
