every definition of scamming includes deception
there was no deception.. they opened a game, they played a game...
you can call it many things but not a scam.. unless you can explain how there was deception....which of course you cant...the players didnt have to join... they could have played, and they could have won, as they sometimes did
you can call it many other things, and dont have to agree with playing of those games...but by definition it was in no way a scam.... no deception took place... if you join a game with high ranked players, you should expect to lose... at least quite a bit...
its semantics, but its important... I do agree, that its better the way it is now, because it more truly reflects a teams score, because most of the teams... most.... play their moves now
OK you can call it how you see it and I will call it what it is.
When you get 2 of your buddies to join your team game in the PUBLIC section you are playing a PUBLIC game as an organized TEAM.
Now a new recruit comes along and sees an option to join a team game. He has no idea this game was actually set up and all the players play with each other frequently and went to the extent to organize the teams. This new recruit looks at the game and sees anybody can join at any time. He does not yet realize no other high ranked player is going to join his team especially considering they already know the deal.
It's promoting an organized team as a public game with random people joining. You can argue it any way you please, but new recruits have no idea what's going on when they first join and therefor they got scammed/taken advantage of.
Well worded. My thoughts as well.
