2015 World Cup
---
This map was created to commemorate the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. The map features teams as territories in qualifying groups as the bonus regions, including a special world cup territory in the middle of the map.
Players begin in qualifying confederations; the group stages and playoffs all start neutral, with increasing neutrals towards the finals. Each team can play (attack) each other team in the same qualifying group, and corresponding teams that progressed to the Group Stage proper. More than one team in the Group stage is required to open up conditional borders to the corresponding winner/runner-up/third place slots in the Round of 16. The Round of 16 slots can also attack back to teams within the corresponding group. To win the game, you can either eliminate your target, eliminate all your opponents, or conquer and hold both the Finalist positions.

"Not all those who wander are lost."
District of Alaska was the designation for Alaska from 1890 through 1912. This map takes place c1895, prior to the Gold Rush, and plays off the arduous task of charting and exploring what some call the Last Frontier. Alaska is also the largest state in the US, and larger than all but 18 Countries in the World.
Beautifully crafted, soft graphics with earthy undertones brings players closer than ever before to battling it out in the land of the midnight sun. Auto-deploys, killer neutrals, decays, and Super Region bonuses make this one of the most anticipated maps to come in over a decade.

Austria-Hungary, also known as the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Dual Monarchy or the k.u.k Monarchy was a state in Central Europe ruled by the House of Habsburg, constitutionally a monarchic union between the crowns of the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Hungary.
The state was a result of the Ausgleich or Compromise of 1867, under which the Austrian Habsburgs agreed to share power with a separate Hungarian government, dividing the territory of the former Austrian Empire between them.
The Dual Monarchy existed for 51 years until 1918, when it dissolved following military defeat in the First World War.

Baseball

America's favorite pastime comes to CC with the Baseball map. You'll start your quest to control the diamond from the bullpen on one of the pitchers named after the greatest slingers in baseball history. Your only way out to the field is through the Batter, Babe Ruth. From there, you can get a hit to one of the baseballs scattered throughout the diamond. But you'd better do more than just get the ball in play: the batter and all baseballs except Home Runs will reset to a neutral on your next turn. For bonuses, you can go for the Home Run, get on base, control one of the areas of the field, or get to one of the Hall of Fame players that are playing defense. These defenders can also allow you to move quickly across the map.
Keep in mind that the only way to take out another player's pitcher is through the large stack of neutrals (15 of them!) on the Mound. From there you can bombard the pitchers, but not attack them, so once they're out, they're not coming back into this ball game. But plan that attack on the pitching staff wisely: if you hold the mound at the start of your next turn, it will revert back to the big stack of neutrals

Later in AD times the Normans invaded great Britain and pushed the Celts out of the heart of the Island.
The only areas left with a Celtic cultural presence became known as the 7 Celtic Nations:
Ireland, Scotland, Wales, The Isle of Man, Brittany, Cornwall, and Galicia.

This map was originally created for the Official 2010 CC World Cup Event - "A tournament involving a special, new, South Africa World Cup map featuring teams as territories with their groups as the bonus regions, including a special world cup territory in the middle of the map."
Players begin in the group stages; the playoffs all start neutral, with increasing neutrals towards the finals. Each team can play (attack) each other team in the same group, as well as the corresponding winner/runner-up space on the Round of 16. The winner/runner-up can also attack back to any team within the corresponding group. To win the game, you can either eliminate your target, eliminate all your opponents, or conquer and hold both the Finalist positions.
The original 2010 South Africa World Cup map has been revamped to reflect the teams and groupings for the 2014 Brazil World Cup; the gameplay remains unchanged.

Monsters, Wizards, Powerstones, Mind Blasts and Lightning Bolts! This map has everything! You'll start with one or more wizards and a handful of monsters in your quest to capture all of the powerstones or eliminate your opponent(s).
Be sure to read the key very carefully! One way assaults, killer neutrals, bombardments and decaying territories abound.
Your wizards will magically generate additional troops every turn, but you can also increase your power by holding Powerstones and the special "Runebound Monsters" associated with each wizard. You can also work on the standard territory bonus, but remember that it only applies to your monsters.

A basic gameplay map with 43 regions and 7 bonus zones spread across the 4 main islands of the nation of Japan.
There are no real quirks or surprises on this map, making it very similar to the Classic map.
One small point of interest is the region on the Sea of Japan, it doesn't belong to any bonus zone and allows fast access from the north, central, and the south of the map.
Graphics mix modern divisions and a shogun old time parchment as well as authentic "kanji" text.

Some regions aren't a part of any sub-bonus, but conquering them nonetheless will help your desire for total world domination. The Galapagos Islands are starved of water in many places. This, along with diving luggers, and natural fauna treasures that the Isles are infamous for, form the concept for a map where everyone starts in the water diving. The objective is to gather as mnay treasures as possible to assist in conquering the map and other players. The allure of the underwater scenery with jelly-like amoeba and island map territory cells make this map one of Cairnswk's most brilliant designs.

An array of small bonus zones are available for the taking, though high border counts ensure that you'll need to defend each bonus.
Added bonuses can be achieved by occupying Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing, and Shanghai. Rivers with bridge crossings, mountains with one way assaults, and the Great Wall each help carve up the gameboard which adds a bit of maze-like quality to travel around the map.

First there was a kingdom torn by war.
6 realms battled for supremacy but they trespassed the sanctuary and unleashed a terrible curse.
All land was frozen. Terrible ice storms ravaged the land but the humans survived and they kept fighting to unite the kingdom and to end the spell.
They managed to break the spell but at a terrible cost.
A magical portal opened and horrific creatures spew out of it.
Golems orcs dwarves elves and liches invaded the land and forced the humans to a hasty retreat in aoria.
The safe haven of humanity. Now each race has a domain and each wants total annihilation of the others.
So the war rages on even more than before.
Each races is unique and has a special trait that affect them and their homeland. Each race has 2 power runes from which they gather their strength.
The objective is only one.

The battle for uniting the lands raged on for years and when it was finally over only the fools thought all will be well.
The desecration of the sanctuary has brought upon the land a terrible frost spell.
Many have died and many more will die unless the spell is broken and the only way to do it is to go back in the isle of Remora and destroy the sanctuary.
Only then the spell will be broken.

In a place of fantasy in a time of uncertainty 6 nobles fight for supremacy.
Like true leaders they must not only prove their strength in battle but also their wisdom in ruling their kingdom.
Without the support of peasant villages and the income from trading resources even the most skillful warrior is worthless.
So annex villages and supply them with goods and you shall be the next king.
Remember, a leader without followers is nothing.
